Marino Baldissera
Pieve di Cadore (Belluno) 1969

Marino Baldissera was born in Italy, February 4th, 1969 at Pieve di Cadore (Belluno). He studied composition at Milan Conservatory with Corrado Pasquotti, Elisabetta Brusa and Giuseppe Giuliano, graduating in 2000 with highest votation. He had masterclasses with André Richard, Brian Ferneyhough and Franco Donatoni. In 1993 he graduated   at Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena and had a scolarship by SIAE, He won national and international competitions: Belveglio-Asti, Livorno, Fiumara d'Arte, Sanremo Classico, (Italy), Ferienkurse f ü r Neue Musik in Darmstadt (Germany). In 1997 he won the First composition in orchestral music of the Orchestra des Jeunes de la Méditerranée (France) with the opera Jànas. Since 2005 he's artistic director of La Sorgente, a co-operative society committed in musical promotion and information. He is performed in Italy and abroad (Germany, Hungary, France, Egypt, Syria, Jordania), and recorded for Italian and Germany Radios. His works have been performed by well-known orchestral and chamber groups such as: Orchestra Sinfonica di SanRemo, Orchestra OJM di Aix-En-Provance, Orchestra "Milano Classica", Ensemble, Ensemble "Octandre", Ensemble Décadance, Ensemble "Castiglioni" del Conservatorio di Milano, Fandango Guitar Quartet
